The Tamiya Super Champ, few names mean so much to Vintage RC collectors. I have had to wait five years to finally own one, the wait was worth it. This Super Champ really is the one I have been waiting for. You see there are countless Tamiya Super Champs out there for sale or auction, most of which have been restored several times, have had modifications or are just missing most of their original parts. This tamiya Super Champ is all original and other than the antenna it's complete!
I owned one of these when I was a kid, I traded my Advance for it. I didn't have the manual for it so I could never figure out why the rear wheels kept turning under the back end when I cornered thus flipping the car over every time. I didn't know it was missing the zip ties to limit the rear suspension swing and just thought it was a crappy design and gave it to some kid that had never had an RC car. I guess that karma came back because this one came to me for free. Below is how it looked the day I pulled it from the box.
